Who We Are
Learn About Us
Ty McConnell, DVM attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a graduate of the acclaimed U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been serving Santa Cruz County for over thirty years. Dr. McConnell started as a mobile vet in 1983, and in 2015 decided to set up a home base. His experience includes more than 30 years of practice in the veterinary profession, and animal health industry. We provide the latest in veterinary technology in a calm and comforting environment. Please join our family of caring animal lovers.

Our Newest Hire:
Dr. Diana Rosas
We are very pleased to announce our new veterinarian, Dr. Diana Rosas. You may remember her as a veterinary assistant from 2018-2022 with Dr. McConnell. She was instrumental in helping him with exams, record keeping and surgeries. Her passion for animals and kind nature led her to pursue her degree in veterinary medicine. She strives to create long lasting relationships with her patients and clients to create a positive impact on her community. We are so happy to have her back on our team!

Education: She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology at UCSC and earned her veterinary degree (DVM) from The University of Arizona.

Personal: Dr. Rosas has three cats (Gandalf, Bert and Yzma) and one dog (Sandy). In her free time she enjoys reading, running and traveling especially with her fiance! Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is the variety of challenges and constant learning opportunities she has. Every day is a new day and it gives her an opportunity to build from yesterday.
